5/16/20 - An Update from The Village Church
Our leadership team has spent much of the day wrestling in prayer, as well as planning, in an effort to make the best decision possible as to when to open up our church again for in person services. We want you to know that we are weighing every option, and seeking the Lord for His guidance on this. At this time, we have decided that we are going to continue our services online for tomorrow morning. While we had hoped to be able to reopen tomorrow morning, I have to be honest in saying that there just wasn't peace with that decision. I realize that many people have many different opinions on the subject, and that we may not all agree on how best to navigate this. But, I want to assure you that we truly desire to not only be back together in person as soon as possible, but to do so in a way that will be effective and safe for everyone involved.
The past 2 months have been a series of ever changing moments for each and every one of us, and the church has certainly not been exempt from that. We have been tirelessly working to stay connected with each of you, as well as finding creative ways to minister to those who are in need. We realize that we haven't done everything perfectly, but hope that you have seen our heart as we have tried to do it well. That commitment was there before this pandemic, during this pandemic, and is going to be there as we come out of this pandemic. Our goal is to ensure that God's people are taken care of, whether together or apart.
With all of that being said, I want to invite you to join us online tomorrow morning for our worship service at either 8:30am or 10:30am at www.villagechurchwi.com/live. While I know that we long to be together, I ask that you trust that we are doing our best to lead well through these difficult times, and that we will be back together very soon.
As I had mentioned last night during our worship and prayer service, it is important to remember that God's timing is not always the same as our timing. In those moments where we are uncertain about what He might have us do, it is best to hit the pause button and wait for His voice to be made clear. That is what we will continue to do. We will continue to listen for His voice, and trust that He will lead His church well. He has to this point, and we are confident that He will continue to do so moving forward!
I look forward to having you join us online tomorrow morning for our services, and I will share more about how we plan to move forward in the days and weeks to come.
Have a blessed rest of your Saturday night my friends. Remember, God is still on the throne.
